Spatial Data Analyst

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work with complex geographical data. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and advice on geographical information, maintaining GIS databases, and developing innovative GIS solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake project requirements such as data modelling, manipulation, visualization, and development of professional cartographic map products.
  • Provide accurate and timely spatial information using GIS that is appropriate to the needs of the organization.
  • Undertake business analysis activities such as consultation, process mapping, project management, and documentation development as well as change management principles.
Requirements
  1. Tertiary qualifications in Geospatial Science, Geomatics, and Database systems and working knowledge of Land Ownership and Titles system.
  2. Proven experience of GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo, and IntraMaps) and related programming including FME, ogr2ogr, and GDAL.
  3. Proven experience of SQL Server spatial databases, manipulating and statistical analysis of data and integrated systems with a working knowledge and understanding of robust data management principles.
