About this Role
The Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Service provides assessment, screening, diagnosis and treatment to at risk population groups within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
This role involves promoting contact tracing for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. You will also provide direct support for complex contact tracing scenarios as required and support public health management of STIs/BBVs.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote contact tracing for sexually transmissible infections (STIs)
- Provide direct support for complex contact tracing scenarios as required
- Support public health management of STIs/BBVs
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification is a requirement for this position
- Completion of a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program course approved by the relevant health authority or ability to complete an Advanced Practise Nurse program within a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program to supply medications under a Drug Therapy Protocol
- Relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications
- Delegated authority to perform the role of Contact Tracer or willingness to obtain delegated authority
