The Business Unit Support Officer role is a key position within our organization, providing essential administrative support to the Water and Sewer Department.
This role involves coordinating meetings, managing phone calls, handling document management, and purchasing. Additionally, it entails collecting, collating, and maintaining crucial data, delivering high-level customer service to residents and contractors, and collaborating with team members to enhance business unit efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Water and Sewer Department, ensuring seamless operations.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, and other events as required.
- Document Management: Handle and manage documents, records, and files in a secure and organized manner.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Purchase goods and services on behalf of the department, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
- Data Management: Collect, collate, and maintain accurate and up-to-date data, reports, and statistics.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring prompt and professional responses to enquiries.
- Certificate III in Business Administration: Applicants must possess a Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with internal teams, customers, and contractors.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and high standard of accuracy in data management and reporting.
