This is an exciting opportunity to bridge the gap between data science and engineering, deploying machine learning pipelines, productionizing models, and streamlining orchestration processes. You'll work closely with Data Scientists and the Software Engineering and Delivery Team to deliver scalable and reproducible ML applications.

This hands-on technical role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about operationalizing AI/ML, and is comfortable working in a modern data platform like Databricks.

You'll collaborate with:

  • Data Science Team
  • Data Engineering Team
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Software Engineering and Delivery Team
  • Product and project managers

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with Data Scientists to build and maintain ML and data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, MLflow).
  2. Designing and implementing orchestration workflows using tools like Databricks Workflows.
  3. Managing model deployment, versioning, and lifecycle using MLflow or similar tools.
  4. Setting up and monitoring CI/CD pipelines for data science and ML applications.
  5. Building simple backend services or lightweight frontends to support demo applications or PoCs.
  6. Ensuring code quality, modularity, and reusability across pipelines and tools.
  7. Contributing to documentation, tooling, and infrastructure to accelerate experimentation and delivery.
  8. Working with DevOps/Infra teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient operation of ML services.

Requirements for success include:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid Python and SQL programming skills, especially in data and ML contexts.
  • 2-5 years' experience with Databricks or equivalent data platforms.
  • Familiarity with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, etc.).
  • Understanding of modern orchestration tools.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of REST API development and basic frontend skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
