General Hand Labourers/Machine Operators Job Opportunity

We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team at a leading timber pallet manufacturing facility in Perth, AU.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labouring tasks including machine operation and maintenance.
  • Assist in the processing and manufacturing of timber products.
  • Operate basic pre-set cutting equipment.
  • Utilize selected hand tools - low level equipment.
  • Sort, stack and strap products and materials.
  • Manually handle heavy loads with consideration for safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of timber use and value.
  • Ability to operate basic pre-set cutting equipment.
  • A clear understanding and application of quality control techniques.
  • High-level problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with machine operation (desired).
  • Forklift Licence (desired).
  • A willingness to learn and take direction from superiors.
  • Maintain high-level safety awareness and manual handling techniques at all times.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet production targets and Key Performance Indicators.
  • A minimum of one year's labouring experience is required.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks due to heavy manual handling requirements.
  • Strong communication and listening skills to facilitate teamwork.
  • A hard-working attitude with a 'can-do' approach to work challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues effectively.
  • Responsibility, reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for this role.
