Job Opportunity: Risk and Controls Specialist

This key role is integral to our expanding team of solvers focused on Risk and Controls Assurance. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in managing risk and controls within the wealth management industry.

As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting Australian businesses in enhancing their work processes. Our team provides expert advice and assurance on client activities, including control readiness, remediation, and reporting.

We specialize in Risk and Controls within the Wealth Management sector, supporting clients to effectively manage risk associated with mergers and acquisitions, service provider transitions, and data migration system implementations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review end-to-end business processes to ensure adherence to financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze risk management frameworks, internal controls, and control environments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify current and emerging risks and report these findings to line management.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Manage large-scale project engagements, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Report on the effectiveness of risk management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on special projects, providing expert guidance and support.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial services, particularly in technology risk and controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal audit and advisory best practices.
  • A solid understanding of the wealth management value chain, with the ability to navigate complex systems and processes.
