Orthopaedic Casting and Appliance Applications
This role is responsible for the application of orthopaedic casting and appliances in consultation with medical officers and multidisciplinary teams. You will work under the direct supervision of a qualified plaster technician to ensure high-quality patient care.
About this role:
- Undertake Australian Institute of Orthopaedic Technologies training modules, theory exams, and practical assessments level 1-4 as provided by Queensland Health.
- Conduct orthopaedic casting and appliance applications under direct supervision, collaborating with medical officers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide education and information on orthopaedic casting and appliances and their care to patients and/or carers/guardians, under the guidance of a Certificate 4 completed plaster technician or Medical Officer.
