Expert Geotechnical Engineer for Infrastructure and Renewable Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Queensland.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead geotechnical aspects as part of a project team, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle. This includes scope and delivery of geotechnical projects or components, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and supervising site investigations, including borehole drilling, in-situ testing (SPT, CPT, pressuremeter, etc.), sampling, and monitoring.
  • Performing geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, liquefaction assessment, and seismic response.
  • Designing foundations (shallow and deep), earth retaining structures, ground improvement solutions, and pavements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology, with Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or eligibility). Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience is required, ideally in consulting, infrastructure, or construction projects.

Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation, geotechnical analysis, and design of foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures is essential.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology.
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or eligibility).
  • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation, geotechnical analysis, and design of foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.
