Project Controls Specialist - Decommissioning

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team, working on challenging and exciting projects that drive innovation and growth.

This role will see you lead the delivery of scopes of work associated with decommissioning, cleaning, and removal of offshore assets within the Bass Strait. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager - Decommissioning, you will be responsible for the development and management of project budgets, schedules, and quality systems, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

About You

As a key member of our team, your leadership skills and expertise in project controls will ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

You will have:

  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and SAP
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Quality Management systems knowledge and understanding
  • Sound knowledge of safety, quality, construction, or maintenance procedures and requirements
  • Significant experience managing and leading teams
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision-making and negotiating skills
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, organise, and drive schedules
  • Effective interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with people at all levels

Desirable Skills

Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with the ability to manage and coordinate multi-disciplined project teams, labour teams, staff, and equipment. Additionally, an eye for detail and accuracy with numbers is essential, along with demonstrated analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
