Senior Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Senior Control Systems Engineers in Perth.

About the Role
  • This role is a senior position within our engineering consultancy, providing electrical, instrumentation, control systems and project management services to the mining, mineral processing and infrastructure industries.
  • You will be responsible for designing, constructing, commissioning, and optimising brownfield and greenfield mining, materials handling, mineral processing and port facilities across multiple commodities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execution of control systems for complex industrial projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers, including assigning tasks and providing technical guidance.
  • Develop control system designs based on electrical schematics and other design inputs.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and clients, in writing and in person.
Requirements
  • An Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience in Australian Iron Ore mining projects / operations.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a project environment for either a systems integrator, OEM or an EPCM.
  • Relevant PLC programming experience (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, GE/Emerson).
  • Relevant SCADA programming experience (e.g. Citect, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, Cimplicity).
  • An ability to interpret electrical schematics.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Bulk materials handling.
  • Mineral processing plants.
  • Mobile machines: stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders and associated stockyard systems.
  • Other relevant technology related skills.
