Internal Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our Commercial team at Coles Group. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products by conducting audits of Coles Brand suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of Coles Brand suppliers to ensure compliance with Coles Food or Non-Food Manufacturing Supplier Requirements standard.
- Communicate audit outcomes and close out non-conformances with suppliers to agreed timeframes.
- Report on target audits at Coles Brand suppliers to confirm compliance to responsible sourcing initiatives and identify and address issues.
- Provide coaching and feedback to develop technical capabilities of Coles Brand suppliers and product technologists.
- Review repetitive non-conformances from audits to identify areas for improvement for Coles Brand suppliers.
- Work with Coles product technologists to address non-conformance with suppliers and Coles Quality Academy providers to ensure effective training is developed.
- Participate in technical scorecarding for Coles Brand suppliers.
- Input to the strategy guiding Coles Brand supplier performance.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Internal Auditor with a strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principles. You will have a tertiary degree in Food Science and Technology and a minimum of five years' experience in food or related industries, in quality assurance or product safety within manufacturing, retail or inspection functions.
You will be a proactive, firm but fair individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, confident stakeholder management, and the ability to build relationships and resolve conflict. A driver's licence and own transport are also required.
