Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for rail infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in rail infrastructure projects, including design, delivery, and project management of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for rail infrastructure projects, including power supply, traction, and lighting systems
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, ensuring all designs meet client specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality engineering solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Ensure project milestones, budgets, and schedules are met while maintaining quality and compliance standards
  • Contribute to business development efforts by providing technical expertise during proposal stages and building strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in rail infrastructure projects, including design, delivery, and project management of electrical systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of railway electrification, traction power, HV/LV systems, and signalling interface design
  • Familiarity with Australian rail standards and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
