We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our sustainability assurance team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our sustainability assurance methodology, providing technical guidance and support to our teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective application of our methodology in sustainability-related engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability assurance methodology that aligns with international standards;
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to client-facing teams on sustainability assurance engagements;
  • Collaborate with audit and assurance teams to ensure the effective application of our methodology in sustainability-related engagements;
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of sustainability assurance specialists;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory and standard-setting environments and ensure timely integration into our methodology and practice;
  • Design and deliver relevant learning programs to support technical learning;
  • Engage in thought leadership projects and contribute to our responses to regulatory consultations on sustainability assurance matters;
  • Participate in or lead special assignments, cross-functional initiatives, and other technical projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Accounting, Economics or Business majoring in Accounting and/or Finance;
  • CA qualification (or equivalent);
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and skills, including applied knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards;
  • Demonstrated experience in performing and/or reviewing sustainability assurance engagements;
  • Broad range of client experience and across various industries;
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing people and technical deliverables;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical matters for diverse audiences.
