We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our team at one of Australia's leading construction materials producers.

This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit team and contribute to our ongoing growth and profitability.

As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our concrete plants, ensuring safety, health, environmental and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met. This includes scheduling and supervising batching staff, providing supervision to Concrete Agitator Drivers and Lorry Owner Drivers, coordinating plant maintenance and performing basic maintenance.

You will also be responsible for managing stocks of raw materials, ensuring a high level of customer service and active support to plant staff, including order taking and batching. Additionally, you will manage and support Customer Projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. You will also require experience in a supervisor position in the construction materials industry, as well as Forklift and Front-End Loader licenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety, health, environmental and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met.
  • Schedule & supervision of batching staff.
  • Provide supervision to Concrete Agitator Drivers (company & Lorry Owner Drivers).
  • Coordinate plant maintenance & perform basic maintenance.
  • Manage stocks of raw materials.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Cash Sale Reconciliation.
  • Active support to plant staff (including order taking and batching).
  • Manage / support Customer Projects.
