The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Contract Administrator for our Clarke Creek Wind Farm project. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in contract administration methods, practices, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in contract negotiations and drafting, including participating in contract reviews and negotiations.
- Responsible for timely downstream contract administration, including reviewing payment claims, liaising with the Delivery Team, and issuing payment schedules/certificates.
- Assist in preparing upstream progress claims and general sales invoicing to ensure timely submission and minimize WIP balances.
- Ensure payment and variation registers/schedules are up-to-date and accurately structured.
- Administer all contracts and update contracts registers and filing systems.
- Produce contract-related correspondence, including notifications, formal responses, and claims.
- Produce/assist with contractual claims and variations as required.
- Take steps to avoid disputes and ensure full awareness of ongoing site activities.
- Monitor and review financial data related to contract performance, forecasts, and labor costs.
- Assist with reporting and processing monthly cost recording.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in complex construction projects, preferably in the renewable energy, wind, utilities, oil and gas, mining, or other complex infrastructure sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Legal, Contract/Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
- MRICS (or equivalent) or working towards accreditation preferred but not essential.
- Experience in complex major contracts, variation, and extension of time claims, with well-developed contract management experience.
- Understanding of various contract types and ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and engage with stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with self-motivation and action-oriented skills.
- Ability to prioritize activities, meet deadlines, and exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- A current Australian driver's license.
