At GHD, we're driving the transition to a low-carbon future, and we're seeking a seasoned Senior Power Generation Engineer to join our team.


This role will see you working with our Energy and Resources Team, based in Brisbane, to deliver projects in the power sector across the full project lifecycle. You'll be involved in conducting pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects, undertaking concept design and preparing documentation for power generation and renewable energy projects, and leading and overseeing project teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.


As a Senior Power Generation Engineer, you'll have a strong understanding of current power generation technologies, including methods of installation, operation, and configuration. You'll also have experience with relevant software packages and a sound understanding of renewable project planning and development processes.


We're looking for someone with 10+ years' experience in power generation projects, preferably with a background in mechanical engineering and CPEng and RPEQ qualifications. You'll also have a strong understanding of the Australian energy market and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Conduct pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects
  • Undertake concept design and prepare documentation for power generation and renewable energy projects
  • Lead and oversee project teams to achieve project milestones and objectives
  • Contribute to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in power generation engineering
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Leverage your background and contacts to develop business and contribute to winning work
  • Develop tender responses to sell GHD's services
