About the Role

As a dedicated carer, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

This position is part of our Uniting Household Model of care, empowering residential care teams to support residents in meaningful ways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Contribute to laundry, bed-making, linen change, and cleaning duties
  • Support and transport residents for recreational and social activities
  • Run DECT phones and video calls for residents

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need experience working in aged or community care or have a passion for starting your career in this field. You should be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful with excellent communication skills. Additionally, you must live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Able to provide high-quality care and support to residents
  • Previous experience in aged or community care or studying Cert III Individual Support

Additional Requirements

You will need to undergo a National Police Check, Reference checks, other pre-employment screenings, and full COVID-19 vaccination (3 doses).
