Job Summary:

The Finance Operations Officer plays a pivotal role within the Financial Service Branch, overseeing key functions that drive operational efficiency and financial acumen. This position reports to the EL1 Treasury and Accounts Team Leader and is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day operations.

  • Accounts Receivable: Coordinate the creation of invoices, review daily debtors' reports, and follow up on outstanding debts to maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Accounts Payable: Review and approve invoices against purchase orders, credit notes, assist staff with purchasing, and facilitate goods receipting processes.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Authorize daily bank reconciliations, appropriations drawdowns, and payment runs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Team Support: Monitor and action the team's functional mailbox, perform travel duties as directed, and assist in mentoring and training new staff.
  • Reconciliation Management: Oversee periodic reconciliations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to best practices.
