About the Role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence while remaining alert and focused. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide access control for both vehicles and personnel entering the premises;
  • Validate, issue/retrieve, and conduct random checks on ID/access cards;
  • Conduct online or visitor inductions performed at the security gate;
  • Conduct mobile patrols and surveillance;
  • Monitor alarms, radios, sensors, and CCTV footage;
  • Provide emergency response to incidents on site;
  • Conduct random Drug & Alcohol tests on personnel;
  • Inspect Emergency Response vehicles and First Aid supplies;
  • Maintain a log of vehicle and personnel movements and events/incidents that occur on site.

Requirements

  • Current QLD Security Licence;
  • Certificate II in Security Operations;
  • Current driver licence – open manual licence;
  • Current Advanced First Aid certificate;
  • MSIC – Maritime Security Identification Card – or the ability to obtain;
  • Maritime Security Guard (MSG) qualification;
  • QLD 30215 General Construction Industry Safety Induction (White Card);
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing qualification – training can be provided to successful applicants;
  • Training and Assessing Qualifications (preferred); and
  • RIIRIS402D – Carry out the Risk Management Processes (preferred).
