The RoleThe ICT Infrastructure Manager plays a critical role in coordinating the design, build, security, uplift, and maintenance of technology-enabling infrastructure. This includes compute, storage, hosting, networks, and cloud services. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and coordination with various IT teams to support the organisation's operational needs. The ICT Infrastructure Manager ensures high levels of system performance and reliability, making this a key position for driving business success.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation: Develop and implement technology infrastructure strategies, including on-premises and cloud solutions, network architecture, and data centre design.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on system performance, capacity, scalability, and security to ensure optimal operations.
- Network Management: Oversee the company's data networks, ensuring connectivity, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, and internet connections.
- Vendor Management: Manage infrastructure support providers and consultants to ensure they meet contractual obligations and provide proactive services and remediation.
- Architecture Documentation: Develop and maintain architecture documentation related to infrastructure and network design, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.
- Business Planning: Align technology infrastructure planning with BG&E's strategic goals and operational plans, contributing to the annual budget process.
- Cloud Migration Strategy: Develop and implement a cloud migration strategy, operational plan, and timelines to ensure seamless transition.
- Microsoft Azure Administration: Deploy and support solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, including Microsoft 365 and Azure Administration.
- Cyber Security: Support cyber security projects and implement technical and physical controls to ensure the security of BG&E's systems and data.
- Disaster Recovery: Ensure data backup and disaster recovery processes are in place, tested, and effective.
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced ICT Infrastructure Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years in a team lead or manager capacity.
- Proven ability to think strategically and develop technology strategies to support business objectives.
- Knowledge and practical capabilities of Microsoft Modern Workplace environment, including M365 and Azure platforms.
- Knowledge and experience in cyber security governance and incident management.
- Experience in change management processes and effective stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Understanding of IT Architecture principles, such as TOGAF.
- Azure Fundamentals certification (mandatory).
- Azure Solutions Architect certification (preferred).

- Administering and deploying solutions on the Microsoft Azure environment.

- Server virtualisation and enterprise storage solutions, including VMware and Hyper-V, enterprise backup solutions, data/image replication.
