The Queensland Department of Education is seeking an experienced and committed educational leader to fill a Deputy Principal role.
This position involves leading and enhancing inclusive education practices, improving student outcomes, and strengthening collaboration across the college community.
As Deputy Principal, you will play a key role in fostering an environment where every student is supported and empowered to succeed.
Responsibilities- Lead the special education program to improve educational outcomes for students with disability.
- Support the principal in delivering the school's educational vision and deputising when required.
- Embed socially just practices and foster a culture of inclusion and high expectations.
- Build and sustain positive partnerships with parents, agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Lead curriculum, teaching, and learning innovations that promote quality outcomes for all students.
- Manage the human, financial, and physical resources of the SEP to achieve organisational goals.
- Proven leadership in special education with a strong focus on student achievement and inclusion.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to build strong, collaborative relationships across the school and community.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute to improved educational outcomes.
- Experience managing resources effectively to deliver high-quality organisational results.
- A personal and professional commitment to ethical, values-based leadership.
- Postgraduate qualification in education or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of current educational research and policies.
