We are currently seeking a highly skilled Building Project Manager for a local organisation in Perth, approximately 20 minutes south of the CBD. This is a temp contract position working 38 hours per week with competitive hourly pay and weekly payments from Persolkelly.

You will be working with a supportive team within a stable local government environment, reporting to the Principal Architect. Your duties will include:

  • Managing the project lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget
  • Formulating project briefs and design solutions including feasibility and optioneering
  • Coordinating and leading building project teams, including consultants and contractors
  • Developing and managing project budgets, expenditure and reporting financials accurately
  • Implementing best practices in design and construction to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes
  • Liaising with stakeholders to understand needs and ensure project success
  • Assessing existing assets for potential reuse or renovation opportunities
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks throughout the process
  • Preparing necessary documentation for project tendering

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Tertiary qualification in project management, architecture or a related discipline
  • Substantial experience in project management in the building and construction industry
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality control
  • Sound leadership skills and ability to set direction and support a cross-functional team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver on outcomes with key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in time and cost management to meet critical targets
