We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in delivering responsive, timely, and empowering services to facilitate independent living, health, wellness, and happiness.

You will play a vital role in helping clients learn new skills, find new hobbies, and achieve their goals by facilitating wellness and community activities.

As a Support Worker, you will provide social support, care, lifting, mobility, grooming, and other personal care tasks, transporting clients to access community and social activities and/or medical and specialist appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Facilitate wellness and community activities to promote social connections and engagement.
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities as required.
  • Document client interactions and progress accurately.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or higher in Health Service Assistance/Individual Support/Aged Care/Community or current nursing degree students with completed aged care placement.
  • Previous employment experience in aged care or community services industry.
  • Basic computer skills to operate tablet devices alongside accurate documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work in diverse settings including community and at client's homes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and report as required to your supervisor.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Community Care.
  • Second language skills well regarded.
  • Experience or training in manual handling techniques.
  • Experience or training in dementia.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings.
