About the Role
Veolia is seeking a skilled Plant & Equipment Maintenance Specialist to support our industrial services team in Melbourne and Geelong. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing all plant and equipment onsite, ensuring compliance with Veolia, safety, environmental, and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure that all plant and equipment is optimized to full capability.
- Use Veolia's internal asset management system (VAMS) to track and manage maintenance activities.
- Manage deliveries for stock and materials, and maintain a sufficient stock of critical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Planning and Scheduling team and external service providers to monitor and report on asset integrity and working conditions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and mobile equipment in an industrial environment.
- Current HR truck license.
- A working knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work unsupervised and use problem-solving skills effectively.
- Technical/trade qualifications are desirable.
