Specialist Driving Instructor Required

We are seeking an experienced and patient driving instructor to provide specialist driving lessons to individuals with disabilities in a supportive environment.

  • Deliver safe, tailored driving instruction based on participants' abilities and goals
  • Support individuals with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities
  • Operate a modified vehicle suitable for disability driving instruction
  • Maintain accurate session notes and progress reports
  • Communicate effectively with participant families and support staff

Requirements:

  • Experience working with people with disability
  • A current driving instructor's license in the required state
  • A reliable, purpose-built vehicle fitted with dual controls for disability instruction (mandatory)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage challenging situations with patience and professionalism

Compliance Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training
  • Police Check
  • ABN (as this is a contractor role)
  • Current First Aid certification
