Job Title: Forensic Specialist

About the Role:

This position involves working as a forensic specialist in a team environment, providing expert support to investigations. The role requires flexibility and mobility, with deployments both nationally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct forensic crime scene examination/analysis into a range of crime types of varying complexity.
  • Provide accurate, professional, expert forensic evidence to the courts.
  • Collaborate with investigators and other stakeholders to provide expert forensic advice.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship at the time of application.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Formal qualifications and/or contemporary experience and knowledge in a relevant science/forensic/technical discipline.
Working Conditions:

The role is located in Sydney, NSW, and applicants are expected to be based in Sydney. Positions may be filled at the AFP Band 3 to 5 levels, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
