Job Summary

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing payroll operations for our growing team while driving efficiency and compliance. The successful candidate will have expertise in payroll practices, procedures, and legislation, including Modern Awards. Experience processing weekly and monthly payroll for 500+ employees is essential.

You will have proficiency in Employment Hero (preferred) and strong MS Excel skills. A background in Finance, Economics, Business, or Financial Services is advantageous. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and data accuracy, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to investigate issues and find solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Paying salaries, bonuses, overtime, and employee contracts/terminations accurately and on time
  2. Ensuring tax obligations (PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, Superannuation) are met and staying updated on legislation
  3. Providing clear guidance on pay-related matters and addressing payroll inquiries
  4. Maintaining payroll data secure, accurate, and up-to-date, and assisting in system improvements
