About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Home Assessment Professional to join our team at Fuse Recruitment. As a Desktop Home Assessor, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end management of allocated claims.

Key Responsibilities

As a Desktop Home Assessor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by the insurer's suppliers.
  • Producing detailed reports to determine cause, coverage, damage, and best repair methods.
  • Reviewing scope of works to ensure the most cost-effective and timely method of repairs.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and third-party building surveyors.
  • Negotiating with the insurer's panel of builders to define the scope of work and associated costing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A construction trade qualification or relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent computer skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to prepare construction and damage repair quotes and estimations, with training provided.
  • Completion of a background check during the interview process and proof of full working rights in Australia.
