Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Garden Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance of our commercial gardens. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of garden maintenance activities.

You will work closely with a small team to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, hedging, fertilizing, and pest control. You will also conduct site assessments to identify maintenance needs and develop work plans.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients and ensure their needs are met. You will also be responsible for managing inventory and implementing safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, hedging, fertilizing, and pest control.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify maintenance needs and develop work plans.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their preferences and address concerns.
  • Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens.
  • Have a strong hands-on background in horticulture and experience working in a supervisory role.
  • Possess excellent organization skills, decision-making skills, and communication skills.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have a white card.
  • Be willing to obtain a national police check if required.
