Excavation Specialist Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to work in Queensland's Bowen Basin, focusing on safe operation of heavy machinery. Duties involve the use of draglines, operating dozers around a dragline and performing bench prep/bulk push activities, cable management, handling using cable tractor and cable truck, grader skills, water truck operation for dragline processes, and excavator operation for dragline and dozer processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe operation of heavy machinery including draglines and dozers
  • Operating cable tractors and managing cables
  • Water truck operation for dragline processes
  • Operating excavators for dragline and dozer processes
Requirements:
  • Current experience with significant open-cut mining operations
  • Excellent operating skills for dozers around a dragline
  • Heavy Rigid authorisation for Cable and Water truck Operations for dragline processes
  • Cable tractor skills for High Voltage Cable handling
  • Strong attention to detail and identifying hazards in the workplace
  • A genuine commitment to safety and Personal Hazard Identification Tools
  • Effective communication skills and achieving results through influence
