We're seeking an Australia-based FIFO Project Support Technician Mechanic to join our team.
Purpose:
This role involves coordinating and undertaking maintenance activities within defined operating procedures, ensuring reliable and safe asset operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating maintenance activities according to operational procedures
- Conducting safety inspections and adhering to Aggreko's safety regulations
- Providing first-level technical advice to customers
- Troubleshooting implementation problems
Accountability Level:
This is an experienced individual contributor role, requiring independent work with limited supervision. The successful candidate will address complex problems within established frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of repairs and overhauls, meeting agreed budgets for specific repairs and departmental budgets
- Adhere to safety practices and quality standards
- Support the manager in allocating yard service resources to meet contractual requirements, including A and B servicing, shop turnaround service orders, and site visits
- Responsible for testing and analysing equipment upon arrival and before final completions; and final inspection of equipment after repair and prior to release to fleet
- Plan workload to maximise utilisation of testing facilities
- Approve service orders, ensuring accurate invoicing to customers and registration of engineer activities in Mobility
- Process customer claims on operational aspects promptly, maintaining high standards of customer service
- Maintain all plant tooling, lifting, and measuring equipment according to appropriate procedures
- Adhere to safety practices and quality standards
Typical Experience:
- University Degree or Specialised Diploma
- Jenbacher MR4 Engines experience is ideal
- Cummins KTA50 and QSK50 experience is also ideal
Our competitive salary for this role is approximately $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. We welcome applications from qualified individuals who share our passion for delivering exceptional energy solutions.
