Emergency Department Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant to join our team in the Emergency Department at the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the care of patients allocated to you, working collaboratively with Resident Medical Officers, Registrars, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient care in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and implement models of care for Paediatric presentations in the new Paediatric emergency zone of Lyell McEwin Hospital Emergency Department
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities
  • Contribute to continuing education activities
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Have appropriate Specialist Qualifications and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
