  • Your primary responsibility at this level will be to deliver targeted assessments and interventions to children and students with increasingly complex needs, demonstrating expertise in psychological services delivery.

AHP3 - Psychologist
  • As an advanced psychologist at this level, you will take on more senior roles, providing expert psychological services, mentorship to junior colleagues, and contributing to the development of innovative interventions.
  • You will work with students presenting complex and co-morbid conditions, requiring your adaptability and depth of knowledge in addressing rare neurodevelopmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Leadership skills are essential at this level, guiding the development and implementation of advanced psychological interventions.
  • Supervision and professional support for junior psychologists are also critical components of this role, ensuring continuity in high-quality service delivery.
  • Contributing to ongoing service development, quality improvement initiatives, and shaping future directions for psychological services within the organization will be vital responsibilities at this level.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • A current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia is mandatory, applicable to both AHP2 and AHP3 classifications.
  • For the AHP3 classification, holding a Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisor status is essential.
  • Possessing area of practice endorsement in educational and developmental psychology, clinical psychology, or counselling psychology is desirable for those seeking the AHP3 classification.
