Learning and Teaching Program Leader

About St Mary's College, Maryborough

  • We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a key role in driving the school's mission by leading and shaping our dynamic learning and teaching programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about refining the Learning and Teaching Framework and implementing deliberate, high-impact actions and strategies that will improve teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Refine the newly created Learning and Teaching Framework with a focus on targeted professional learning, collaborative planning through Professional Learning Communities, data-informed decision making, and classroom observation.
  2. Lead the designated curriculum area(s) taught in the school, applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through professional development of teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility.
  3. Supervise and induct teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility, analysing student performance data and addressing areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in education or a related field.
  • Significant experience in leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
  • Proven ability to develop work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements, drive assessment and moderation processes, and foster stakeholder engagement.
