Job Title: Water Treatment Process Operator

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Operator to join our team and help run water treatment plants in Murray Bridge.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the day-to-day operation of plants, resulting in safe and high-quality drinking water for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and service to foster trust with customers and community.
  • Operate regional water treatment plants efficiently and safely, ensuring compliance with guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform routine plant maintenance and inspections, including repair, service, and calibration of plant equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of operational procedures and methods.
  • Assist with the ongoing optimisation of water treatment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Strong computer skills and software knowledge, including Microsoft office.
  • Trade qualifications (mechanical/electrical) are desirable.
  • Water Treatment Plant Operators Certificate III (water industry operator/water treatment) or demonstrated operational knowledge of water treatment processes and/or basic laboratory skills are also desirable.
  • Ability to work under limited direction is essential.
  • Experience in using SCADA systems is highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
