We're seeking a skilled engineer to join our team as a DevOps specialist. In this role, you'll work directly with clients to design and implement solutions that help them deliver software faster and more reliably.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Puppet modules and products
  • Deliver Puppet training and workshops to clients
  • Provide pre-sales support to sales & marketing teams
  • Contribute to the development and testing of Puppet products in collaboration with R&D and Product Management

As a successful candidate, you'll have excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Puppet Enterprise or Open Source, as well as experience working with Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps.

You'll also be able to travel up to 10% domestically and have strong customer relations & presentation skills. A passion for problem-solving, technical degree (CS/IT/Eng/ITSec), or equivalent experience, and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

Responsibilities include working directly with customers to design and implement solutions that help them deliver software faster and more reliably, delivering Puppet training and workshops to customers, assisting education teams to keep that training accurate and up to date, providing pre-sales support to sales & marketing, developing, publishing and maintaining Puppet modules and products, developing and promoting integration and tooling around Puppet products, contributing blog posts and other communication for Puppet, and working with R&D and Product Management to develop and test Puppet products.

Requirements:
  • Solid experience working with Puppet Enterprise or Puppet Open Source. (Puppet 4 or anything more recent)
  • 5+ years of experience in software DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
  • Solid background programming with Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps, including automation
  • Strong customer relations & presentation skills - must be able to speak well in front of an audience and with customers
  • Excitement about working with the Puppet Enterprise and Open-Source community
  • Passion for problem-solving
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Technical degree (CS/IT/Eng/ITSec) or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience clients and internal resources in face-to-face, telephone, virtual meetings and the ability to work and interact as a member of a group or team
  • Requires logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Puppet Certification is a plus
