About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our client's team for an initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension. This role will support procurement activities for a large volume of goods and spare parts across Australia, with a focus on data analysis and improving procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Interpret and analyse high volumes of spend data to support category objectives and improve procurement outcomes.
  • SAP Management: Manage SAP outline agreements and material master data to enhance transactional efficiency and data integrity.
  • Category Support: Collaborate closely with Category Specialists on data consolidation and trend analysis, providing insights to drive decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Implement automation tools and streamline processes, particularly around price file management and requests for quotes.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Work with stakeholders to provide detailed spend reporting and interactive dashboards using Power BI, improving visibility and enabling better procurement decisions.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) and Power BI, with experience handling large data sets for stakeholder use.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data interpretation and providing actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with a proactive approach to understanding team needs.
  • Prior experience in procurement, data analysis, or a commercial environment, ideally working with large datasets. A background in FMCG or similar industries would be beneficial.

Salary Estimate

The salary for this role is approximately AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
