This role presents an exciting chance to build a cutting-edge machine learning system from the ground up. As a key team member, you will be responsible for designing and training neural networks optimized for edge environments. You will also work closely with a junior team to mentor and uplift their skills, while contributing to real-world problem-solving using sensor-derived data.

The Role

  • Develop innovative solutions in machine learning, free from legacy code or prebuilt pipelines.
  • Design, train, and test neural networks tailored for edge computing.
  • Address complex problems using noisy, sensor-based information.
  • Collaborate on a project that integrates AI, hardware, and meaningful impact.
  • Mentor and support a capable junior team looking to grow professionally.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building and training custom deep learning models, preferably CNNs for vision-based applications.
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow, with expertise in designing for embedded and edge environments (e.g., Jetson, Movidius, NPU).
  • Background in R&D, early-stage tech, or product innovation is highly beneficial.
  • A bonus advantage would be experience with thermal, IR, or non-RGB sensors.
