How You'll Make an Impact

As a product content designer, you'll use your expertise to create intuitive product experiences that delight our customers.

You'll work closely with product designers to transform complex processes and information into simple, user-focused flows and interactions.

About the Team

Sitting within the Experience Systems team, we're a small, yet highly effective Content Design team that gets to work on Xero's highest strategic priorities.

We're focused on raising the bar of our Content Design and UX quality in the experiences we create for Xero's customers.

What You'll Do

    • Apply your knowledge of content design and UX writing best practices to create clear, scannable, and accessible content.
    • Structure and order information to deliver the most useful content at each point in a user's journey.
    • Collaborate with product designers through co-designing experiences as part of a project team or sharing knowledge and coaching designers in UX writing.
    • Own and drive initiatives that evolve the practice of content design at Xero and build widespread capability.
    • Prioritise the most high-value work to maximise the impact of our small Content Design team in systematic and scalable ways.
    • Lead strategically important projects, developing frameworks, patterns, and guidelines that improve content quality.

What You'll Bring

    • Experience working as a content designer, UX writer, or content strategist in a design team.
    • Excellent UX writing and content design skills – you're able to structure information to create intuitive, accessible experiences and communicate complex ideas in simple language.
    • A positive and proactive approach to influencing stakeholders and navigating ambiguity.
    • Expertise in effectively communicating your decisions and ideas to a variety of people.
    • A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to also lead initiatives autonomously.
    • Skilled at consistently achieving high-quality results with efficiency.
