Senior Veterinary Nurse

Senior/Head Vet Nurse Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced senior veterinary nurse to join our dedicated team at Alexandria Vet Hospital. As a senior nurse, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client and patient care, while also mentoring and managing junior nurses and placement students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience with Cert IV or equivalent
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a diverse team environment, ensuring smooth clinic management
- Proficiency in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including dental procedures, anesthesia, x-rays, IV catheter placement, pathology, intubations, critical care monitoring, and fear-free animal restraint
- Solid knowledge of RxWorks, IDEXX Catalyst, and CBC operating machines (ProCyte Dx)
- Previous experience in a senior or head nurse role, ideally with management experience
- Confidence in mentoring and managing junior nurses and placement students
