This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of women, children and families. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing advanced clinical social work services within a Level 3 scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex social and ethical support to women, children and families across maternity, neonatal, paediatrics, fertility, fetal medicine and antenatal services.
  • Deliver high-quality services across hospital-wide areas as required, participating in after-hours on-call crisis service when needed.
  • Engage in professional practice that upholds ethical standards, supports vulnerable populations and responds to trauma-related needs.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Social Work with eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and significant clinical experience in social work, preferably at Level 2 or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve and apply professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations within a multidisciplinary team.

About This Role

This is a permanent full-time position within the Women's and Children's Health Team at NSW Health. The team covers a wide range of services, and you will have the opportunity to work with culturally and socially diverse patients and families.
