About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Italian language educator to join our team at a highly regarded Catholic school in Cobblebank. As a full-time, ongoing LOTE teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Italian to students in years 7-10. You will be part of a supportive teaching team and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the school's Italian language program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum for Italian LOTE.
  • Deliver effective and interactive Italian language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
  • Introduce aspects of Italian culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
  • Design assessments to evaluate student language acquisition and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate Italian language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
  • Stay informed about developments in language education and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
Requirements
  • Current VIT registration
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Previous experience in teaching Italian LOTE
  • Previous experience teaching within the Catholic System is advantageous
