**Job Opportunity: Training Support Officer**
The role of the Training Support Officer is pivotal in facilitating effective On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs. Key responsibilities include coordinating work placements, liaising with industry partners, and ensuring a smooth execution of OJT activities.
- Coordinate work placements by aligning tasks offered by work placement opportunities, individual trainee requirements, timing of opportunities, and trainee availability.
- Liaise with industry partners to maintain current and create new work placement opportunities, coordinate activity with workplace supervisors, and assist in collecting OJT assessment evidence.
**Responsibilities Include:**
- Regular meetings with trainees on OJT programs to ensure their needs are met and progress is tracked.
- Counseling and guidance to trainees through OJT activities, helping them overcome challenges and stay on track.
- Gathering and development of assessment evidence to support trainee evaluation and growth.
- Capture and reporting of OJT assessment evidence to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Liaison with industry partners, work placement supervisors, and Navy Trade Management unit for successful OJT placements.
- Reporting on OJT activity to stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
**Key Skills and Qualifications:**
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with trainees, industry partners, and colleagues.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple work placements and ensure timely completion of tasks.
