Legal Administration Management Opportunity

This role is a key leadership position within our Office Operations team.

The successful candidate will manage the Legal Support and Facilities functions for our Brisbane office, overseeing a team of approximately 30 direct reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Legal Support and Facilities teams in Brisbane;
  • Line managing Legal Assistants, Administration Assistants, Facilities Coordinators, and Practice Management team members;
  • Developing a high-performance culture within the team;
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of services provided to the firm;
  • Allocating work and utilising administrative support to best meet the needs of the firm;
  • Managing performance and collaborating with HR colleagues on cyclical processes such as remuneration and talent review;
  • Partnering with the recruitment team to drive recruitment efforts for the team and support internal promotion and career development where possible;

Additionally, the Brisbane office will be moving premises in 2026, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in logistics and communication.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Prior experience leading large teams, preferably in an office or practice manager position or as legal support supervisor;
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels;
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and commitment to supporting operational excellence and ongoing improvement;
  • Well-developed EQ, with experience managing diverse groups of employees;
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Highly professional approach, with written and verbal communication skills suitable for a high-performance legal environment;
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant field such as front-line leadership, human resources, business, or law;
