**Key Role of the Research Governance Officer**
The Research Governance Officer plays a pivotal part in coordinating and overseeing research activities within a dynamic environment.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate research applications, including ethics submissions, site-specific assessments, contract review, and data access requests.
- Assess research proposals for risk, compliance, and strategic alignment; identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide guidance and practical advice to researchers, and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Maintain accurate records, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to process improvement.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Foundational understanding of quantitative and qualitative health research methods, including study design, data collection, analysis techniques, research terminology, and reporting standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide clear advice to researchers and prepare governance reports.
- Experience in coordinating research governance in a health-related field is highly desirable.
Essential Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in health, science, research management, or related discipline.
- Previous experience navigating research ethics and governance in a health-related field is highly desired.
