**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing outreach services to youth aged 12-25 who are experiencing mental health challenges.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide intake and screening services to youth, including assessment of their mental health needs and development of personalized service plans.
  • Work collaboratively with youth, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Facilitate access to appropriate services, including urgent and emergency care, and provide information on available resources.
  • Develop and implement a site youth outreach plan to proactively engage with youth and young adults who may benefit from our services.

**Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social work, preferably in mental health, addictions, or youth services.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training, as well as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Brain Story Certification.
  • Valid Nova Scotia driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
