We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Lifeblood's Gosford Donor Centre & Donor Mobile Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our donors through their donation process, while working collaboratively to achieve collection targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests to ensure donor safety
  • Set up and operate equipment, including machines, tubing, and collection bags
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to other team members during the blood collection process
  • Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in scheduling their next appointment
Requirements
  • Occasional lifting of up to 22.7kgs
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending to set up and pack down equipment
  • Current AHPRA registration and nursing expertise
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday
