About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced back-end construction lawyer to join one of the largest and busiest Construction, Infrastructure and Projects teams in the State.

Job Description

As a Senior Associate or Special Counsel, you will assist clients in managing disputes during and after the delivery of projects, including adjudications and expert determinations. You will also act in high-value and complex litigation and arbitration cases, preparing advices, drafting legal submissions, and supervising the work of less experienced lawyers.

You will work closely with partners in the Construction, Infrastructure and Projects team as well as other practice groups, leveraging your advanced knowledge of the sector to drive client outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced back-end construction experience with a strong understanding of the sector's complexities
  • Ability to analyse and solve complex legal issues
  • Excellent technical and strategic skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines within a fluid environment
  • Capacity to mentor, supervise, and upskill less experienced lawyers
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, with the ability to adjust communication style based on audience
