Are you a seasoned procurement expert looking to drive transformation and deliver exceptional results? We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Procurement and Contracting to lead our organisation-wide shift towards best practice procurement, strong governance, and values-led stewardship.

About the Role

This pivotal leadership role will see you leading the design and delivery of a centre-led procurement and contracting model that achieves compliance, efficiency, and value-for-money. As our principal commercial advisor, you will provide expertise in complex procurement, vendor performance, and contract lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals, sustainability commitments, and Catholic Social Teaching values.

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy that drives business growth, reduces costs, and improves supply chain resilience.
  • Lead a high-performing team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and colleagues, to foster a culture of collaboration and partnership.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform our procurement strategies and improve outcomes.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Membership with CIPS, CPP, or an equivalent recognised procurement body.
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement risk, and vendor assurance.
  • Strong digital and systems capability with ERP/procurement platforms and analytics tools.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and building organisational capability.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to ethical procurement, sustainability, and social responsibility.
