**Job Overview**

As a Mental Health Professional working with the Australian Defence Force, you will deliver essential clinical care to those who serve in the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting, supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members. Your expertise will be invaluable in managing crisis presentations, risk assessment, and risk management planning.

The role involves:

  • Supporting ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need
  • Case formulation and treatment planning
  • Programmatic treatment interventions
  • Care coordination
  • Group psycho-education

**Requirements**

We are looking for individuals with:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behavior
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based Focussed Psychological Strategies as defined under the Medicare Schedule
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
